As the Lead Apparel Designer for Nike Global Football's player edition collection featuring Neymar Jr, my responsibility was to create a youth collection that embodies the dynamic and explosive speed of Neymar Jr. Inspired by Neymar Jr.'s Mercurial Vapor "Speed Freak" boot and his friendship with racecar driver Lewis Hamilton; this exceptional collection came to life.

The collection's story revolves around the admiration and friendship between Neymar Jr. and Lewis Hamilton. Their bond began in 2017 when Neymar Jr. witnessed Hamilton's fourth championship win at the Mexican GP. Since then, their friendship has flourished, inspiring each other, reminding us of friendship's power, and drawing strength from unexpected sources. Hamilton's pursuit of excellence is a guiding light for Neymar Jr., propelling him to new heights on the football pitch. Together, they embody camaraderie, resilience, and unwavering support, inspiring athletes worldwide to forge meaningful connections and pursue greatness.

Neymar Jr.'s essence, characterized by his blazing velocity, is ingrained in every aspect of his playmaking style. This collection embodies his unmatched style of play and draws inspiration from his affinity for motorsports and racing.

Each garment in this collection pays homage to Neymar Jr.'s agility and flair. The iconic number 10, representing his association with the Brazilian national team, is prominently displayed on every item, along with Nike logos for authenticity. Neymar Jr.'s mantras, including "Sonho Dourado" (Golden Dream), "Alegria" (Joy), "IV" (his squad number at Paris Saint-Germain), and "Shhh" (symbolizing his ability to silence critics), are seamlessly integrated into the designs.

We collaborated with visionary artist Arsenio Lopez to enhance the collection, who brought the graphics to life. Lopez's creativity harmonizes with the concept of velocity and nimbleness, adding allure and uniqueness to the collection.
